Southern Cross Scuba is also supporting the East Africa Whale Shark Trust. The EAWST is committed to the protection of the friendly giants by educating the local fishermen and touring local schools to teach the children about the ocean environment and what they can do to protect it. Together with Southern Cross Scuba and the Hubbs-Sea World Research Institute from San Diego, California the EAWST has organized two hugely successful whale shark tagging expeditions in 2007 and 2008 during which 20 sharks were tagged with the latest high tech satellite receivers to monitor their movement. |

years has become a well established diving operator in Diani beach
on Kenya's south coast.
